What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.
Who we are
The International Research Institute Pakistan (IRIP) is a legally recognised academic entity under the Act, 2017, registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan under Registration No. 0320371, with offices at Flat 02, 3rd Floor, Al Ghaffar Plaza, G-11 Markaz, Islamabad, Pakistan.
This policy covers the personal data we handle through this website, our journals, our training programmes and our events. Questions about it should go to info@irip.ac.pk.
What we collect
We collect only what a specific process requires:
- Contact forms: your name, email address, institution and the content of your message.
- Programme applications: the above, plus your telephone number, qualifications and statement of purpose.
- Bulletin subscription: your email address only.
- Manuscript submissions: author details, affiliation and the manuscript itself.
- Event registration: name, affiliation and any accessibility requirements you tell us about.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles of visitors across other websites.
How we use it
Personal data is used to do the thing you asked us to do: reply to your enquiry, assess your application, review your manuscript, register you for an event, or send you the Bulletin.
Manuscript data is handled under our double-blind review process. Author identities are withheld from reviewers, and reviewer identities are withheld from authors. Editors see both, and are bound by the Editorial Board's confidentiality rules.
What we never do
- We never sell personal data.
- We never share application or manuscript data with third parties for marketing.
- We never disclose an author's identity to a reviewer, or a reviewer's to an author.
- We never add you to the Bulletin because you contacted us about something else.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for twelve months. Unsuccessful applications are retained for twelve months so that we can consider you for a later cohort, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Successful applications and published manuscript records are retained as part of the institute's permanent academic record. Bulletin subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You may ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to info@irip.ac.pk and we will respond within thirty days. If a request would require us to alter the permanent academic record of a published article, we will explain why we cannot and what we can do instead.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, the date at the top of this page changes and the change is noted in the Bulletin. Continued use of the site after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
